Who We Are
Smart Sacrifice is an independent UK website providing a free salary sacrifice pension calculator for employees across the UK — England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. We are not owned by a pension provider, employer, financial institution, or any regulated financial services firm.
We built this tool because the existing resources for understanding salary sacrifice were either buried inside pension provider websites (which have an obvious commercial interest in the numbers) or produced by HMRC in a format most people find difficult to use. We wanted something clear, honest, and genuinely useful.
How We Make Money — Affiliate Disclosure
Smart Sacrifice earns revenue through affiliate partnerships. When you click certain links on this site — clearly marked as "Sponsored" — and go on to open an account with a provider, we may receive a commission. This is at no additional cost to you whatsoever.
What This Means In Practice
- Links marked "Sponsored" or accompanied by "We may earn a commission" are affiliate links
- The commission we receive does not change the price or terms you receive from the provider
- Providers cannot pay to appear in our calculator or influence our editorial content
- We only recommend FCA-regulated providers with strong track records
- Not all links on this site are affiliate links — HMRC, GOV.UK, and other reference links earn us nothing

Accuracy and Updates
Our calculator is verified against published HMRC rates. The current version reflects the 2026/27 tax year rates (6 April 2026 to 5 April 2027). We run automated accuracy checks daily to catch any drift between our figures and official HMRC sources.
If you believe any figure is incorrect, please contact us immediately at hello@smartsacrifice.co.uk and we will investigate and correct within 24 hours if warranted.
